Chapter 187 Returning Home
Chapter 187 Returning Home
After Desius's death, Aquitron still had a lot of things to do.
The cleanup of the war zone lasted for several StarCraft time periods.
Tongtianxiao led the Knights of Law to check the situation of the ruins and prevent the collapse zone from spreading further.
The sound waves and shockwaves worked together to investigate the remaining facilities of the Quintessons, while the jack was responsible for dismantling the still glowing nodes, using quite a few of the grenades he had been longing for.
BICk0 checked the list of wounded and thankfully, no Cybertronians were killed.
There weren't many serious injuries, but there were plenty of minor injuries, armor cracks, water damage, short circuits, circuit overloads, and "being covered in unidentified underwater debris" that filled the form.
The shark demon horde had already been routed, and the rest were left to Leviathan King Kong to deal with.
As the last batch of Cybertronian casualties were brought to the receiving platform, the largest Leviathan, Kongo, rose from the deeper waters, its silhouette in the sea resembling a slowly moving mountain range.
Several Leviathans surrounded it, and the echoes now became a song dedicated to Cybertron.
Optimus Prime stood on the makeshift underwater platform, looking up at them.
The largest Leviathan Kong opened its mouth and said:
"leader."
"You have freed us from our chains."
Optimus Prime nodded slightly: "Aquitron has always belonged to you."
The ballad of Leviathan is melodious, like a solemn return gift.
Then it turned to Megatron.
Megatron was standing on the other side, listening to Soundwave's report on the progress of the Nemesis's rendezvous. When he saw the other party looking at him, he raised his optical glasses.
The Great Leviathan King Kong said:
"Megatron".
"Your artillery fire shattered the prisoners."
Megatron paused noticeably, clearly unaccustomed to such gratitude, especially from those who had been liberated.
He paused for a moment, then slowly nodded.
"Defend your own waters."
The Great Leviathan accepted this response and finally looked toward the Gravitation Vector.
She stood on the platform, several unrepaired cracks still visible on her shoulder armor. AZ remained quietly in the shadows behind her, the mechanical dog crouching at her feet.
The song of Leviathan King Kong gradually faded, making the words of the Greatest Leviathan King Kong clear.
"Chief Justice."
"You have returned the truth."
"And the ocean of Aquitron was returned to it."
It paused for a long time, staring at the gravitational vector for a while before continuing:
"Cybertron has a competent judge."
The vector was aligned with the two enormous optical mirrors in the deep sea.
"We were just doing our duty."
Leviathan's singing grew louder and louder.
-
The evacuation officially began one game hour later, after the Space Bridge was calibrated.
Crystal Prism and the technical department remotely controlled the system from Crystal City, while BICk0, having burned out, rested and assisted from the side.
The jack established a temporary position in Aquitron, while Shockwave announced that the coordinate error had been reduced to an acceptable range.
Smokescreen finally found a chance to disembark on the Retribution.
As he leaned halfway out of the hatch, he collided head-on with Megatron, who was preparing to return to the Responder.
The entire machine froze under the smoke: "...I was just passing by."
Megatron looked down at him: "An Autobot passing by on a Decepticon warship?"
Smokescreen immediately retracted half a foot: "I will rephrase my words."
Megatron's optical lens narrowed slightly.
Before the smoke screen was even fully formed, the gravitational vector was seen passing by.
As if he had seen Cybertron's judicial protective umbrella, he instantly leaped down from the hatch and ran to the back of the gravitational vector in three quick steps.
"Chief Justice! I assisted in the communications bridging, didn't I?"
Vector glanced at him, then at Megatron, and quickly guessed what was going on.
"You have done a good job."
The smoke screen optical lens lit up.
She then added:
"So you'd better go back to the Ark now and stop provoking the captain of the Retribution."
Smokescreen glanced in Megatron's direction, where Megatron was silently glaring at him.
The smokescreen immediately saluted the two machines: "Roger! Immediately, without a second's delay!"
He ran away as soon as he finished speaking.
Red Spider let out a sneer from afar.
He was standing near the gangway of the Nascent Soul, watching the smoke billow away, and said sarcastically:
"Thanks to the chief judge for getting rid of him, my polishing tools are safe now."
Soundwave offered no comment and silently withdrew the temporary authorization for the Retribution number under the Smokescreen name.
Inside the Ark, laughter echoed through the channel from behind the partition.
"Smokescreen! You really slept on the Narcotics?"
A voice drifted from behind the smoke: "We'll talk about this later! I refuse to replay this within Decepticon firing range!"
-
The evacuation team was quickly organized.
The Ark took away the Autobots and some of the wounded, the Nemesis gathered the Decepticon forces, the Thunder Rescue team returned with the medical platform, and the Law Knights and the Justice Center team followed the Graviton Vector back to Cybertron via the space bridge.
Optimus Prime stood in front of the Ark's entrance, looking towards the Graviton.
"The Ark medical module is ready."
Megatron spoke almost simultaneously:
"The Retribution Code can treat your injuries."
After the two leaders finished speaking, they briefly glanced at each other, sparks flew, but thankfully they didn't start arguing.
The vector stood before the space bridge, with the Knights of Justice, AZ, and the mechanical dog behind her. BICk0 was still urging her in the channel to confirm access to the judicial central terminal, wishing he could reach out from the screen and pull her back to Cybertron.
She glanced at Optimus Prime, then at Megatron.
"I'm returning to the judicial center."
Neither Optimus Prime nor Megatron said much about it or tried to stop it.
Cybertron's chief judge must return to her judicial center first.
The space bridge lit up, and the vector vector suddenly stopped in front of the bridge entrance.
"Optimus Prime, Megatron."
Both machines turned to look at her at the same time. Her tone was off, and the surroundings fell into an unnatural silence for a moment.
Red Spider was about to look up with a gloating expression when she suddenly realized that she might be included in her calculations, so she wisely kept quiet.
The vector turned around, its tone eerily calm, yet tinged with a sinister aura:
"You'd better explain yourself properly when you get back to Cybertron."
Optimus Prime pursed his lips slightly, while Megatron remained unusually silent for a long time.
After saying this, the vector led the machine from the judicial center into the space bridge. The mechanical dog, with its half-burnt tail, clung tightly to her. AZ's shadow disappeared into the light at the last moment.
Aquitron has regained his freedom, and a new "trial" is about to begin on Cybertron.
