Chapter 7 Love in Progress

Time slipped by quietly. In 1988, with eight days left until the Seoul Olympics, I looked out the window and saw Taek's father sweeping the alley with a bamboo broom.

Liu Shuyu rolled out of bed and skillfully picked up the eggs and sausages. He remembered that Deok-sun's family only had two eggs that morning, and Deok-sun had sensibly told her mother that she didn't need them.
