Chapter 789 Data Traps a Powerful Enemy (1)

A data storm, carrying streams of black data and fragments of traitorous energy, slammed into the spaceship's defensive barrier. Cracks spread like a spiderweb, and the barrier groaned under the strain, threatening to collapse completely at any moment.

"Reinforce the barrier!" the fused entity shouted, continuously channeling the primordial energy within its body, which coexisted with the cosmic sea, into the barrier. Multicolored light intertwined with the barrier's green aura, barely stabilizing the crumbling defense.

The laughter of the Balanced Chaos Entity echoed from the spatial rift, tinged with mockery and madness: "Useless! This data storm has fused extraterrestrial energy and the remnants of the traitor's power; your defenses won't hold for long!"

From the crack, a black figure slowly emerged. The Balanced Chaos Entity's main body was more solid than its previous clone, its body swirling with black data streams and gray chaotic energy, its eyes flashing with an eerie red light. Behind it, countless tentacles made of data writhed continuously, emanating an aura that devoured everything.

"What exactly do you want?" Yan Jin roared, his green life energy condensing into a blade of light, ready to attack at any moment. "Did you join forces with the Lord of the Outer Realms to create the Data Devourer just to take revenge on us?"

"Revenge? That's too superficial." The Balanced Chaos Entity shook its head, its black tentacles suddenly swelling and attacking the spaceship. "What I want is the entire multiverse! Data Devourers can devour all energy and data. Once they've devoured enough universes, I can use that power to break down the barriers between all universes and become the ruler of the multiverse!"

The black tentacles slammed into the defensive barrier, widening the cracks. Canglan immediately mobilized spacetime energy, freezing some of the tentacles in mid-air: "Fusion entity, we can no longer afford to be passively defensive! We must take the initiative and disrupt the source of the data storm!"

The fused entity nodded, a resolute glint in its eyes: "Yan Jin, Cang Lan, you two come with me and charge in to destroy the source of the data; Lord of Nothingness and the three primordial consciousnesses, you stay behind to protect the spaceship and the beings of the technological universe!"

"Watch out!" the Lord of Nothingness shouted, his black void power transforming into sharp blades that severed several stray tentacles. "The energy at the center of the data storm is extremely chaotic; be extremely careful!"

The fused entity, Yan Jin, and Cang Lan transformed into three streams of light, breaking through the defensive barrier and flying towards the spatial rift. As soon as they entered the rift, countless streams of black data surged forth like a tidal wave, attempting to devour them. The fused entity immediately mobilized its primal energy, constructing a five-colored light shield to block the data streams outside.

Inside the rift lies a chaotic space composed of data. Countless fragmented data float in the sky, and black rivers of data flow across the ground. At the center of this space, a massive data core hovers in mid-air, surrounded by dense extraterrestrial energy and the remnants of the traitorous origin—the very source of the data storm.

"That's it!" Canglan shouted, and silver spacetime energy transformed into a beam of light, shooting towards the data core. But as soon as the beam of light approached the core, it was blocked by the surrounding energy barrier and instantly dissipated.

“The data core is protected by an energy barrier, and ordinary attacks cannot get close at all.” Yan Jin frowned and said, as green life energy turned into chains of light, trying to entangle the core, but they were also repelled by the barrier.

The balanced chaos entity slowly landed beside the data core, its black tentacles wrapping around it: "I told you, you are no match for me. Today, you will stay here and become nourishment for the evolution of the data devourers!"

He waved his hand, and countless streams of black data converged into several data behemoths, which attacked the three of them. These data behemoths were much larger and more powerful than those they had encountered before, and they also carried the corrosive aura of extraterrestrial energy.

"Split up! I'll hold back the Balance Chaos Entity, you guys figure out a way to break the energy barrier of the Data Core!" the fusion entity shouted, its five-colored primordial energy transforming into a lightsaber that slashed towards the Balance Chaos Entity.

The Balanced Chaos entity remained calm, its black chaotic energy forming a shield that blocked the lightsaber's attack. It sneered, its black tentacles suddenly growing larger and wrapping around the fused entity: "You think you can restrain me?"

The fusion entity moved nimbly among the tentacles, its lightsaber constantly slashing at them, only to find that the tentacles, once severed, could quickly reform using data energy. Her heart sank; she knew that to defeat the Balanced Chaos Entity, she must first destroy its data core and cut off its energy source.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Yan Jin and Cang Lan flew towards the data core. Yan Jin released his life energy, attempting to purify the extraterrestrial energy on the barrier; Cang Lan, on the other hand, mobilized spacetime energy, trying to freeze the energy flow of the barrier. However, the power of the barrier was too great, and their efforts were completely ineffective.

"This can't go on!" Canglan exclaimed anxiously, sweating profusely. "We must find the weakness in the barrier!"

Yan Jin carefully observed the barrier and suddenly discovered a significant weak point in the energy flow, where the extraterrestrial energy was relatively scarce: "Found it! At the bottom of the core, that's the barrier's energy node!"

"Give it your all!" Yan Jin shouted, condensing his light spear once more and thrusting it towards the crack. Cang Lan also increased the output of spacetime energy, continuously widening the crack.

Sensing the danger to the data core, the Balanced Chaos Entity roared, broke free from the fusion entity's restraint, and pounced towards Yan Jin and Cang Lan: "You're courting death!"

Black chaotic energy coalesced into a giant fist, hurtling towards the two. The fused entity immediately rushed forward, its lightsaber slashing at the giant fist, cleaving it in two: "Your opponent is me!"

Enraged, the Balanced Chaos Entity turned and engaged the Fusion Entity in another fierce battle. Black chaotic energy collided with the five-colored primordial energy, and the energy shockwave shook the surrounding data space to the point of collapse.

Yan Jin and Cang Lan seized the opportunity and continued their attack on the energy node. The cracks in the barrier widened until it finally shattered completely. The data core, now unprotected, was exposed to the two.

"Success!" Yan Jin shouted excitedly, as the green life energy transformed into a blade of light, slashing towards the data core.

Just as the light blade was about to strike the core, the data core suddenly erupted with a black light, within which the phantom of the Lord of the Outer Realms appeared: "Want to destroy my data core? Not so easy!"

The phantom waved its hand, releasing a powerful burst of extraterrestrial energy that sent Yan Jin and Cang Lan flying. Complex runes began to appear on the surface of the data core, as the black data stream merged with the extraterrestrial energy, causing the core's power to surge instantly.

"A phantom of the consciousness of the Lord of the Outer Realms!" the fused entity exclaimed in shock. "He can actually manifest a phantom through the data core!"

"Hahaha!" The phantom of the Lord of the Outer Realms roared with laughter. "Fragments of my consciousness are hidden within the data core. As long as the data core exists, I can continue to influence this place. Balance the Chaos Entities! Kill them quickly! Don't let them ruin my plans!"

The Balanced Chaos entity's eyes flashed red, and black tentacles and chaotic energy erupted simultaneously, launching a fierce attack on the three fused entities. Caught between the Balanced Chaos entity and the data core, the three fused entities found themselves in a predicament, attacked from both sides.

"We must join forces!" the fusion entity shouted, merging its primordial energy with the life energy of Yan Jin and the spacetime energy of Cang Lan, forming a three-colored beam of light that shot towards the Balanced Chaos Entity and the Data Core simultaneously.
