Chapter 2061 Even Dogs Have Rooms
Chapter 2061 Even Dogs Have Rooms
Wangcai did not stop despite the servant's attempts to calm it down, and continued to bark wildly at Chen Zhaodi.
The maid gave Chen Zhaodi a strange look, took out her phone and made a call. "Aunt Yang, Wangcai is acting strangely. It keeps barking at the guests who just arrived today."
"I am coming over now."
The maid hung up the phone but remained standing there.
Chen Zhaodi's gaze remained fixed on the dog, and he asked with disgust, "Where did this dog come from? Did your boss pick it up? How many years has he had it?"
“It wasn’t found,” the maid explained. “The boss brought it from his hometown and has raised it for a long time.”
"What did you say?" Chen Zhaodi asked in surprise. "Brought from your hometown?" Her gaze fell on the dog barking at her again, which vaguely confirmed her guess. Could this dog be Wangcai?
“Yes, our boss adores it.” The maid said with envy, “All the toys in the yard, including this swing, are for it to play with, and it even has a dedicated servant to take care of it.”
Personal servants?! Chen Zhaodi's gloomy gaze fell on the necklace around the dog's neck. "Could that necklace around its neck be gold?"
“Yes, there are more than a dozen of them.” The maid sighed, her face full of envy: “I’m not even as well off as a dog. I really wish the boss would give me a gold necklace and tie me up in this manor.”
Hearing the servant's undisguised envy, Chen Zhaodi gritted her teeth. A dog wearing a gold necklace! And having servants to wait on it!
Footsteps suddenly came from behind them.
Chen Zhaodi turned around to look.
Before Yang Tao even got close, she saw the dog barking wildly at the guests and quickly called out.
Wangcai stopped barking and ran to Yangtao. She bent down, stroked the dog's head, and asked with concern, "Why are you barking at the guests? Are you feeling unwell? Or were you frightened?"
Watching Wangcai affectionately rub against Yangtao, Chen Zhaodi stared at him with a sinister look, and suddenly questioned, "What do you mean by that? Did I scare this beast?"
As soon as Chen Zhaodi opened her mouth, Wangcai, who was nuzzling against Yangtao, immediately turned around and barked wildly at her.
Yang Tao frowned unhappily. Although Wangcai was an animal, the tone of his voice made her very uncomfortable. Considering that he was sick and in a wheelchair, she said nothing and instead told Wangcai to come back to the house with her.
Sitting in his wheelchair, Chen Zhaodi watched the backs of the man and dog as they entered the house, and on a whim, asked the servant, "Where does the dog usually sleep?"
"Of course, I'd stay at the manor. It has a separate room, beautifully decorated, with lots and lots of toys and clothes..."
The more the servant talked, the more sinister Chen Zhaodi's eyes became.
Even dogs have rooms, yet she, their own mother, lives in the maid's room outside!
In the living room.
Yang Tao saw that Zhang Ran wasn't resting, but was sitting on the sofa chatting with Er Ya, so she went over and said, "Wangcai is acting strangely, it keeps barking at the guest you brought back."
Zhang Ran's eyes instantly fell on Wangcai, and she beckoned to it, "Wangcai, come here."
Wangcai wagged its tail and walked up to Zhang Ran, then lay down at her feet.
Zhang Ran stroked the dog's head before turning to Yang Tao to explain, "Dogs hold grudges; that auntie hurt it."
"What?" Yang Tao frowned with worry. "If you let her stay at the manor, won't she hurt Wangcai again?"
“Tell the driver to take it to the orphanage.” Zhang Ran made a decisive decision. Wangcai often sneaks off to the orphanage to see the principal when it misses him. “The principal hasn’t seen it in a long time and will miss it.”
