Chapter 2121 Wangcai, They're Not Bad People
Chapter 2121 Wangcai, They're Not Bad People
Something suddenly bumped into her leg.
Zhang Ran looked down and saw that there was a new pendant on her leg.
"Mommy, Mommy."
"Mother."
"Mother."
Jiu Ni hugged Zhang Ran's leg tightly, overjoyed. There were too many children earlier, and she was too young to get close to Zhang Ran. She had been anxiously running around outside, but hadn't managed to squeeze next to Zhang Ran.
Ever since entering the orphanage, she cries and calls for her mother every time she gets sick.
Liu Ni had no other choice but to ask the dean for a photo of Zhang Ran to appease her.
Over time, Jiu Ni became convinced that the person in the photo was her mother.
Captain Lu looked at Zhang Ran with a complicated expression and asked, "Aren't you unmarried? Where did this child come from?" Had they discovered something amiss in their investigation?
Zhang Ran didn't answer him. Instead, she dragged the little figure on her leg to the side, blocking his fierce gaze at the policeman. "Tianci, take your sister to play."
Luo Tianci, like a slow-moving old man, approached Jiu Ni step by step.
"I don't want my brother, I want my mother."
"I want mom!"
"Waaaaah, I want my mommy!"
Jiu Ni clung to Zhang Ran's leg, sobbing uncontrollably.
Luo Tianci stood there, staring blankly as she cried.
Zhang Ran helplessly reached out and rubbed her head to comfort her.
"Woof woof woof!" Wangcai ran over from a distance, nudging Jiu Ni with its fat body and wagging its tail at Zhang Ran in a fawning manner.
It seemed to sense some danger, and growled at the landers, baring its fangs.
Zhang Ran suddenly spoke up: "Wangcai, they are not bad people."
The baring-toothed Wangcai immediately retracted its fangs and began rubbing its head against Zhang Ran's leg.
Zhang Ran bent down and stroked the dog's head.
Wangcai seemed to find the scarf on Zhang Ran's wrist an eyesore and opened its mouth to tear it off.
"Wangcai, don't bite." Zhang Ran raised her wrist and gently kicked Wangcai with the foot that wasn't being held by Jiu Ni. "Go play by yourself."
Upon hearing the news, the principal rushed out of the orphanage.
Zhang Ran watched quietly as she ran closer and reminded her, "Don't run, you're old, be careful not to fall." When the principal strode over, he immediately instructed, "You've come at the right time, quickly take these things away."
“Xiaoyue is innocent.” The principal cried out to Captain Lu and the others with red eyes, “She opened this orphanage and took in many homeless orphans. You cannot let bad people frame her.”
Captain Lu looked at her with mixed feelings. "...One thing at a time, but don't worry, we will definitely find out the truth. We will never wrong an innocent person, nor will we let a bad person go unpunished."
With tears in his eyes, the principal held onto Jiu Ni and led Wang Cai, watching Zhang Ran lead the police towards the orchard.
Before Zhang Ran had gone far, she handed Jiu Ni over to her employees to look after.
He instructed the nanny to take good care of Wangcai and then asked Luo Tianci to go and paint.
He took out his phone and called Gao Yunfeng, "The police brought Xiaoyue to the orphanage. You should come back quickly so you can still see her."
Gao Yunfeng stayed at the manor waiting for Luo Youdi to return after the press conference and for the lawyers to come back. She didn't go back to the orphanage at all.
Xiao Xie had already dug up the soil under the osmanthus tree with a shovel.
The police officers who came with them were trying to comfort the three children, Liu Ni, Qi Ni, and B Ni, because they kept crying and wouldn't let them dig.
Xiao Xie was already exhausted from digging, and hearing the children crying only made her more frustrated. She looked up at her colleague and reminded him, "Are you stupid? What's the use of just comforting them? Call the director and have her send a caregiver to take these children away." She kept begging and pleading with them not to cry, as if she had something wrong with her head.
